Breaking: Burna Boy Dominates 2019 Apple Music Most Streamed Songs In Sub-Saharan Africa

Burna Boy has been having a fantastic 2019 by all standards, his star power, stock and value has risen exponentially since his breakthrough single “Ye” which became popular this year despite having recorded the song since 2017.

Apple Music Africa on the 3rd of December, 2019, released the results of the of the most streamed songs in Africa and had it sent to their partners. The list was divided into two parts, the most played songs in South Africa and the most played songs in Sub-Saharan Africa.

“Sub-Saharan Africa is, geographically, the area of the continent of Africa that lies south of the Sahara. According to the United Nations, it consists of all African countries that are fully or partially located south of the Sahara.”


It doesn’t include the North African countries.
The outcome of this result shows that Nigerian songs are the ones that get played the most with Davido and Burna Boy dominating the 2019 top ten list.
