BREAKING: Ashanti Gold appoint Brazilian Ricardo da Rocha as new head coach

The Ghana Premier League side have named the Brazilian as their new head coach ahead of the new season.

Ashanti Gold SC have appointed Ricardo da Rocha as their new head coach for their CAF Confederation Cup campaign next month.


The 56-year-old gaffer has signed a four-year deal with the Miners lads after a fruitful negotiations today at the club’s Secretariat in Obuasi.

The Obuasi-based club have been without a substantive head coach after Kjetil Zachariassen left to join Asante Kotoko earlier this month.
Da Rocha will be guided Ashanti Gold SC in their 2019/20 CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

He has previously worked with Ghanaian top-flight side Ebusua Dwarfs where he helped them to finish fifth position after the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League season.

Ashanti Gold SC will begin their Confederation Cup campaign with Equatorial Guinea side Akonangui FC.
