The phase 2 of national fumigation and cleaning of markets, lorry parks and other public places against Covid-19 is underway nationwide.
The Kumasi Central Market will from Tuesday, July 21st be closed down to traders according to a release by the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly(KMA).
The closure has become necessary to disinfect all major public places within the Kumasi metropolis to suit the WHO protocols to combat further spread of the disease
According to a statement from the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly the affected areas include, New Kejetia, Central Market, Afia Kobi, Public toilets, and lorry parks will remain closed on Tuesday, 21st July 2020.
These public places will be open to the general public on wednesday, 22nd July 2020.
