Breaking: AfroNation Festival in Ghana may be cancelled |Know why

The Much Anticipated Afronation Festival might not come off as expected due to a court injunction summoned by the Accra High Court as spotted by Vibeweek.com.

According to reports, the event that is expected to bring together loads of both international and local artists including; Alkaline, Davido, Burnaboy, Wizkid, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Kuami Eugene, Medikal, Kidi among several others, may not come on.

A court injuction from the Accra High Court has requested that all works ongoing at the premises must be stopped pending a final determination of an ongoing case at the high court nearly 6 days to the event.

The 3-day event was scheduled for Dec. 27-30, at the Laboma Beach.

In the interlocutory injunction writ vibeweek.com has come across enlists Wonda World Properties Limited as the sole plaintiff against defendants; La Bome Mabii Association, Afronation Ghana and Rave Marketing Solutions.

The Court has given the defendants an eight day ultimatum, starting Dec. 20, to quit all ongoing works at the premises set for the Afronation Festival at the Laboma Beach.

However, no official statement has come out from the organisers as far as this report is concerned.

Therefore, Patrons who have bought tickets are advised to communicate with ticket vendors or organisers to know updates as to what they need to do.
