Somalia national team coach, Bashiru Hayford has stepped down from his post, according to reports.
Hayford, who led Somalia to their first World Cup Qualifying win in history, tells he won’t return to Mogadishu due to insecurity and Al Shabab attacks in the country.
Hayford, who was in charge of hosts Ghana at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations last years, signed a two-year contract replacing Somalia’s Mohamed Abdulla Farayare in March 2019.
