Barclays Bank Ghana, now Absa Group, has denied rumors that they sanctioned Comedian and Actor Lilwin for a new ‘Attaa Adwoa’ video.
The Video spotted by Vibeweek.com stars the Kumawood Actor mimicking the hit song ‘Attaa Adwoa” by Bosom P-Yung, where the video was set in a farm, a bit different from the original which was shot with a background Pink color.
However, Section of Ghanaians who saw the video on social media have heavily lambasted the Bank for the miscalculated approach towards their re-branding strategies.
Popular among those raising major concerns is Musician/Politician A-Plus.
In his Latest post, the loudmouth A-Plus threw a big ‘Shame’ to Barclays Bank lamenting how difficult it is for a young Artist to make it in Ghana and further advised the Bank on what they should have done.
“This is shameful Barclays Bank. @bosom_pyung is a young poor boy who has hustled to make it. This guy has gone through a lot. If you find his song important in your change from Barclays Bank to Absa, at least sit down with the guy and pay him.” A Plus lamented.
Nonetheless, Barclays has come out to deny those allegations saying “We wish to distance ourselves from the said video and to state that neither Absa nor Barclays has commissioned anyone to produce or use our logo for such a production.“
The video according to our checks was first posted by Lil win but later deleted.
However, contacts to get Lilwin to clarify all these allegations have proved futile. We will keep our readers updated as soon as further stories drop.
