The multi purpose Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium has been temporarily closed down with immediate effect.
National Sports Authority (NSA), with the consent of the Sports Minister, temporary closed the Baba Yara stadium to make way for routine facelift ahead of the 63rd independence celebration.
The Baba Yara Sports Stadium hasn’t been renovated since 2008 when it hosted the Africa Cup of Nations.
Vibeweek.com understands the overall renovation will end somewhere October 2020.
With the above reasons and the stipulated time, the regular users, Kotoko and King Faisal are expected to announce their new temporal venue in the coming days.
