Armed Military men were brought into the chamber to calm down nerves after tassels between NPP and NDC MPs kept unfolding.
This is set to be the first time such a wild incident have happened at the premises of the legislative branch of government.
The Military men were seen protecting the clerk and his team of public servants who are supposed to conduct the election for the speaker.
The NDC have nominated Alban Bagbin as their candidate for the Speaker, whilst the NPP has chosen to retain Prof. Mike Ocquaye.
