Amber Rose is expecting a baby with Def Jam A&R vp Alexander “AE” Edwards, the couple announced on Instagram Wednesday (April 3).
Sharing a photo of herself at the doctor’s office receiving an ultrasound, Rose said she and Edwards are “SUPER excited to announce that we have a Sweet little Baby Boy on the way!”
She added, “P.S Sebastian is soooooo Happy to be a big brother!”
Rose shares her six-year-old son Sebastian Taylor Thomaz with ex-husband Wiz Khalifa. She filed for divorce from the rapper in 2014, citing irreconcilable differences.
In his own Instagram post, Edwards wrote, “Even when it’s dark.. my SON will shine. Thank u baby 4 my greatest gift. shit wild! I love you. I can’t wait to thug it out w my baby boy.”
Rose and Edwards have been dating since late last year and their debut as a couple at Rose’s 4th annual SlutWalk in October 2018.
A native of Oakland, Edwards joined Def Jam in April 2018 after working with rapper Tyga and his Last Kings Records.
Earlier this year, he spearheaded a six day “rap camp” alongside fellow Def Jam executive Steven Victor for 17 of the label’s newest signees, a process that was captured for Def Jam’s eight-part docu-series Undisputed. The camp resulted in an album of the same name that featured rappers YK Osiris, YFL Kelvin, Bernard Jabs, S3nsi Molly, Lil Brook and more.
