All Ministers and other Gov’t Appointees Donate 50% of salaries to Support Fight Against Covid-19

All ministers of state, the chief of staff at the office of the President, the deputy chiefs of staff, Secretary to the President, secretary to the cabinet, presidential staffers and presidential aides to the presidency have decided to donate fifty percent of their salaries to support the fight against coronavirus in Ghana.

On Friday, 27th March during President Akufo-Addo’s 4th address of measures to contain the spread of coronavirus in Ghana, he announced that, he has donated his 3 months (April – June) salary to support the fight.

Also the Vice President Dr. Alhaji Bawumia has donated his next 3 months salary to the Covid-19 National trust Fund.

The Covid-19 National trust Fund has been established by the President as the trustees to manage funds directed to help fight Covid-19 in Ghana.

Today All ministers and other above mentioned presidential appointees have also donated 50% of their next 3 months salaries to support the countries fight against coronavirus.

Again, All deputy ministers have donated 50% of their 2 months salaries.
