Ghanaian Rapper, Edem has started a conversation on twitter, wednesday, calling for African Music to have its own version of Billboard, Awards Schemes and more.
The Rapper and Enterpreneur believes African Music is going places and therefore there is the need to get these key foundations setup to help ground the future generation of musicians and other stakeholders who “look for validation from the west”
The way Africa Music Dey go..I pray we have our own billboards and Awards schemes and templates ,so that future generations would not look for validation from the west #Gbevu

Edem Goget’em shared his sentiment on his twitter page sparking positive remarks from other Rappers including FlowKing Stone & Sarkodie.
They added their voice to the conversation, supporting the idea. But Flowking Stone raised fears that corruption may set in eventually.
