Executives of the New Patriotic Party in the Tain Constituency have asked President Nana Akufo Addo to remove the Chief Executive of the Tain District of the Bono Region, Lawyer Clarity Oforiwaa Dwomoh from office immediately.
According to the executives, the DCE’s attitude towards the party and its functionaries would only go to disintegrate the frontiers of the party and yield it to lose its parliamentary seat to the NDC if care is not taken.
At a press conference at Nsawkaw, the district capital, the Constituency Secretary, Adama Coulibaly, flanked by the Constituency Chairman, the Youth Organizer and all the other executives said the DCE poses a risk to the party because she keeps stepping on the toes of the executive and the delegates.
They said she has on several occasions forced the police to arrest some of the executives who do not share her view and locked up; cutting the cordial ties that existed between her and the party.
They also said the DCE is not working to the expectations of her office and that if the president does not remove her immediately, the Tain seat would be lost to the NDC in 2020.
Some of the youth of the Nsawkaw Township alsobacked the calls by the leadership of the NPP.
