The management of the University of Cape Coast(UCC) has announced an indefinite closure of all its basic schools effective Monday 25th January 2021.
In a statement released by the management of the educational institution, the reason for the closure is due to the strike action embarked by the Senior Staff Associaton of Universities of Ghana of which UCC’s staff are members.

“INDEFINITE CLOSURE OF UCC BASIC SCHOOLS
The University Community and the general public are hereby informed that all sections of the University Basic Schools(KG,PRIMARY,JHS and North Campus) will be closed from Monday,25th January,2021 until further notice.
This is due to the strike action embarked upon by the Senior Staff Association-Universities of Ghana of which our staff are members.
We deeply regret any inconveniences caused by this situation.
