Popular Reggae Musician, Majek Fashek is dead. The music artist departed on June 1st 2020 after battling with serious health issues in a US hospital.
The talented musician, real names Majekodunmi Fasheke, was a singer-songwriter and guitarist who hails from Edo state. His death was confirmed by his manager, Uzo Omenka on Tuesday. He said;
“Yes, I have been having pressure calls from All over. Yes, it is true that the legend has gone to be with the lord but this time I want to say we should all celebrate him, his achievements, he has done a lot for Nigeria, Africa and whatever the family decides will get to you. This is all I have to say for now”.
Majek has been battling multiple health problems for a while now and his death has come as a shock to many. He was one of the first reggae musicians from Nigeria to get multiple awards for his contributions to the genre. Some of his top hits include ‘Little Little Patience’, ‘Send Down the Rain’ amongst many others.
Eulogies have already started pouring in for the late ‘rainmaker’, who was adored and respected by several Nigerians.
