Ghana midfielder Michael Essien has been keeping himself fit despite the suspension of football activities over the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The former Chelsea star is currently based in Azerbaijan, where he plies his trade as a player and manager at Sabail FK.
Despite football activities in the Eastern European country being suspended, Essien has been training on his own.
The 37-year-old shared a video on Instagram in which he was undergoing some training routines to keep himself fit.
“Don’t stay at home and do nothing. Still keep that body moving,” he captioned the video.
Essien has made 11 appearances in all competitions for Sabali this season, having joined the club last year.
