29 People Arrested at the Mosque after flouting Lockdown rules

Twenty-nine(29) people have been arrested in a mosque by the Accra Regional Police Command for flouting the ban on social gathering imposed by the President.

According to the Accra Regional Police Command’s spokesperson, Efia Tenge, the suspects stated that they had gathered for an Islamic marriage activity but were overwhelmed by the number of people who attended.

The suspects have been released on bail after their caution statements were taken and they are expected to appear in court in the course of the week.
