Ghanaian songstress, Wendy Shay has blast the Ghana Food and Drugs Authority after losing a big endorsement deal worth thousands of dollars from a foreign alcoholic company.

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) in 2015, banned celebrities from advertising alcoholic beverages as an adherence to a World Health Organization (WHO) policy.

According to the Authority, the ban was part of efforts to ensure that minors are protected from being lured into alcoholism.

Wendy Shay who felt the big impact on the ban couldn’t hold but took to her Instagram page as monitored by vibeweek.com to call on her colleagues to act on the ban as it’s also another way they gain money.

She wrote, ‘I just lost a deal worth 1000s‘ of dollars with this foreign alcohol company..I didn’t know in GH Celebrities can’t advertise for alcoholic beverages according to FDA
Like Seriously?!
