Wendy Shay Begs Akufo-Addo to Change FDA’s Ban on Celebrities

Ghanaian songstress Wendy Shay of Rufftown Records has recandle her fight for celebrities to be allowed to endorse alcoholic beverages as the law prohibits them now.

In her social media post, Wendy Shay pleaded with Akufo-Addo to act quickly  about the ban placed on celebrities from advertising alcoholic beverages in the country

The Food and Drug Authority (FDA) has placed a ban on all celebrities from advertising alcoholic beverages simply because the FDA has claimed to set a good example for the youth.

Taking to her twitter page, the “Haters In Tears” hitmaker called upon the president and pleaded with him to come to their aid.

“Dear @NAkufoAddo 1st, FDA stopped celebs from promoting alcoholic bev’s making us lose jobs to Nigerian celebrities. Gaming commission just stopped us from promoting betting serv. So how do we survive as creative persons in this pandemic?
