Reports gathered by Vibeweek.com reveals there is a suspected case of COVID-19 at Adjen Kotoku, a town in the Amasaman Constituency.

According to residents of the town, a Chinese Businessman and owner of ICE JOY, who recently returned from China has been suspected to import the deadly disease to the community.

The Chinese came back to the country within this week and within minutes of his arrival, it was speculated all around that he has imported the COVID-19 virus.

In an interview with a Food seller, who sells ‘Waakye’ opposite the ICE JOY factory, she told Vibeweek.com that “We have heard about the rumors of the Coronavirus here, but they are saying it’s not true. We heard some people came to check the health Status of the workers and they found out it’s not true. we just hope it is really not true”

Some other residents who live closer to the factory also attested to the fact that there have been rumors of the coronavirus at the factory.

However, speaking to a worker who had parked his things and heading home from the factory, stated “there have been rumors and he is aware of that, but Military personnels came to the workplace to investigate the matter but later found out it was not true”.

He later stressed that he was walking with his boss (suspected COVID-19 carrier) yesterday, and did not see any symptoms of the Coronavirus.

Since then the entire town especially people living closer to the factory are in state of shock and are really taking care of themselves to avoid the deadly pandemic that has killed thousands of people worldwide.
