Hushpuppi has scammed as much as $435 million from victims according to Police reports available to Vibeweek.com

In a new video online, the Dubai police have detailed their role in arresting Nigerian socialite Raymond Igbalodely, also known as Hushpuppi and his cohort of scammers

Dubai Police in the arrest has seized an amount of Dh150 million equivalent to $40.9 million dollars and 13 luxury cars from the social media celebrity.

News of the arrest of Mr. Raymond Abbas popularly known as Hushpuppi has been trending all over social media after the FBI in conjunction with the Interpol and Dubai Police arrested him on the grounds of money laundering and cyber fraud.

The Nigerian Instagram celebrity, who posed as a successful real estate businessman, with his team before their arrest scammed victims to the amount of Dh1.6 billion ($435 million).

The Dubai e-police team was able to trace his fraudulent activities by tracking his every move and social media activity.

Apparently, Hushpuppi and his syndicates specialized in creating fake pages identical to well-known company and bank websites to redirect client payments into accounts they operated.

Also, it was revealed that one of their principal scams was hacking into corporate emails and sending fake messages for huge money and bank detail transfers into their own accounts.

Hushpuppi’s accomplice, Olalekan Jacob Ponle, known as Woodberry, was also arrested along with ten other men in an operation dubbed Fox Hunt 2.

Along with 13 luxury cars, valued at an estimated Dh25m ($6.8m), Dubai police impounded 21 computers, 15 storage memory devices, and 47 smartphones.

The Gucci Master as he famously known, with his gang ripped off close to 2 million victims.
