Covid-19: Cases in Ghana rise to 68, 2 deaths confirmed

The positive cases of the novel virus in Ghana has jump to 68 as at 25th March 09:00 GMT.

A statement by the Ghana health service revealed that the sudden spike in positive cases is as a result of the mandatory quarantine and compulsory testing of 1030 people who arrived in Ghana between Saturday and Sunday before the total closure of borders.

Out of the 1030 people in mandatory quarantine 863 have tested so far and 38 proved positive.

Ghana has already recorded 2 deaths both in kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital.
