Ghanaian Highlife Legend, Kofi Boakye, professionally known as Kofi B was reported dead in the early hours of Sunday.
Close sources say he died shortly after complaining of chest pains and unusual heartbeats after performing in Cape Coast on Saturday.
He was rushed to the hospital for treatment but died at 3:00am on Sunday.
The doctor who took care of him revealed the late Kofi B was sweating and vomiting severely when he was brought there. The Doctor continued that the singer was restless with very high body temperature and an unusual blood pressure of 150/120.
Other reports suggests that he was having difficulty breathing and was put on oxygen. However, the highlife legend died at 3:00 am in the morning on Sunday.
Autopsy reports may be provided by the hospital, but as it stands now his body has been transported to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for storage.
