Obrafour shares secret behind ‘Pae mu ka’ + more

As part of the 20th anniversary of one of the most successful hiplife album ‘Pae mu ka’, Obrafour appeared on ‘Work and Happiness’ on AdomFM 106.3 to talk about the preparations towards the big day.

Obrafour narrates the inspiration behind the legendary album, stating that he was faced with the hardest situation in his life, losing his mom and leaving home to struggle for himself.

““I was in a stage of my life where I was experiencing a lot of difficulties and I had lost all hope. I decided to leave home because I lost my mother who meant everything to me.” Obrafour narrated.

According to Obrafour, he met someone called Quincy who inspired his rap journey, stating he wanted to learn how to rap but it demanded some cost which he could not afford.

Obrafuor wanted to be like Quincy because he thought he could survive with rap as times were hard for him. He therefore taught himself how to write his own songs and as he pushed further, he was introduced to Hammer the Last two.

“It was after that encounter that I sat down to personally write my own song. I kept pushing until a friend of mine took me to Hammer of the Last Two Records and a good friend of mine funded the recording of the album,” he narrated.

Ghana’s Hiplife legend, Obrafour has been noted as one of the greatest rappers of all time as his first Album ‘Pae mu ka’ is undoubtedly one of the greatest Albums released in the Ghana Music Industry.
