First Date Tips – How to Make a Good Impression on the First Date

29/11/2019

One of the surefire approaches to get a girl to like you on the principal date is to make the date fun and fascinating. How would you do that? By picking a movement that you two would appreciate.

Here’s what you can do:

  1. Be confident.

Even if you don’t feel confident, you need to act like you’re a confident person. The more you do this, the more you’ll actually become confident. Men and women are both attracted to confident people who feel good about themselves and know their worth.
Give yourself a pep talk before the date, make sure you make an effort to look and feel your best, and remind yourself of all the reasons why you’re awesome—because you are.

2. Show up as yourself

Posturing some “better” version of whom you’d like to present is misleading to your date and
sets the wrong tone for future interactions. It’s a game that can’t be maintained and
guarantees dissatisfaction for both parties. The goal of dating is to find someone who wants
what you want, and wants that with you. That’s only possible by starting with the ‘real you.’

3. Have fun

Make up your mind, in advance, to have fun. Dating is a numbers game. Every time you meet
someone new, you’re gaining vital information as to what you want (and don’t want) in a
partner. No matter the outcome, this attitude allows you to walk away with a gain you can keep.

4. Don’t get (too) drunk.

A drink or too might be really good to calm your nerves and help the conversation flow more naturally on the first date, but you want to make sure you don’t get drunk. If you’re a woman, you need to make sure you’re thinking about your safety, because you really don’t know this guy is a nice guy yet. And for both men and women, you don’t want to get so drunk you sound, er, well… like a drunk. Being tipsy is one thing, being sloppy is another.
So know your limits, and make sure you’re drinking plenty of water in between your drinks. Politely decline if they want to get another found and you know it’s going to push you over the edge.

5. Let them know you’re interested.

If you haven’t already let your date know you like them by the end of it, make sure you do before you part ways. Give them a hug, or a kiss on the cheek, and tell them you had a great time and would love to see them again.

6. Anticipate a second date.
As they say, whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re right. So if you go into this date believing you’re going to get a second one, you’re halfway there.
This way, you’ll refrain from blurting out everything you want to know about this person and going a hundred miles an hour, because you assume you’re going to have another opportunity to chat. This will also help you show up more, be present in the moment, and actually listen to what your date is saying.
