The Gunners have returned to Adidas for the first time in 25 years after signing a bumper deal with the sportswear giants.

The impressive red and white kit bears similarities with the shirts worn during the early days of the Premier League, with a white v-neck collar.

The sleeves are in red and white and complete with the Fly Emirates sponsor. White shorts and white socks, complete with a retro red hoop make the kit.

The kit is exclusively available from Arsenal and Adidas until Sunday, priced at £60 for the replica shirt and £100 for the match-worn jersey.

Arsenal have also released their new green and yellow home goalkeeper shirt, that will be worn by Bernd Leno come August after he switched to No.1.

The Gunners have agreed a new blockbuster deal with Adidas, worth £300m after their agreement with Puma came to an end following the conclusion of the 2018/19 Premier League campaign.

The five-year deal is worth around £60m-per-season to Arsenal , who were sponsored by Adidas in the early 90s.

Gunners legend Ian Wrght , women’s star Vivianne Miedema and celebrity fan Idris Elba took part in the launch.

Arsenal will be hoping to build on last season’s fifth-placed finish when the new campaign gets underway in August.

The Gunners are yet to make any summer signings with Unai Emery given a transfer budget of just £40m to spend.

Arsenal are likely to increase their offer for Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney this week while a deal for William Saliba of Saint-Etienne is close, but they will have to sell to raise funds for other deals.

Emery is keen on Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, who is also eager to make the move, but the Eagles are demanding at least £80m for the Ivory Coast star.

Happy to see Ozil in the new shirt, he’s the only creative player remaining in Arsenal. If Arsenal can get a solid central defender, there wouldn’t be any problem involving Lacazette, Auba and Ozil going back to defend for the team all the time.
