Police Announce Temporal Closure of some Roads In Kumasi Ahead of Ghana’s 63rd Independence Day Celebrations

Some major routes in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi will be temporarily closed ahead of Ghana’s 63rd Independence Day Anniversary parade.

The routes, mainly around the Sports stadium will be blocked as part of security arrangements at the stadium for the celebrations and to help keep protocol.

These routes include;

  • Afful Nkwanta Traffic Light to the stadium
  • Asokwa Mall Traffic Light to the stadium
  • Unity Oil to T.I. Ahmadiya Senior High School
  • The road from ‘It’s My Kitchen”  to Brigina will be closed to the general public with the exception of those with accreditation to enter the Heroes Park and the Hockey pitch.

The roadblock will take place on the  6th of March, 2020 but will be opened thereafter.
