It is rare to see female musicians battling lyrically in Ghana, but now we have female beef involving 5 Ghanaian female musicians.
The beef which is still ongoing can be traced to names like Fella Makafui, Sister Derby, Sista Afia, Freda Rhymz and Eno Barony.
Vibeweek.com have dig down to find the genesis of this whole beef.
We recall, Rapper Medikal celebrated his birthday on 4th April and his Ex girlfriend, Sister Derby took to social media to wish him a happy birthday with the tag “Happy Birthday my sweet ex” and went on to compose a song titled Sweet Ex to tease Fella Makafui after Fella has also reacted to Sister Derby’s wish to her husband saying “He is your ex but he is mine now“.
Fella Makafui through the beef season made her debut into music with 2 songs titled “Over” and “No Size“.
Everything went off until singer Sista Afia dropped a diss hiphop song titled “WMT” which was directed at Sister Derby, defending Fella Makafui on their beef earlier, the song also threw shots at female rapper Freda Rhymz.
Freda Rhymz also came through with “KMT” to reply Sista Afia and also dissed Eno Barony in the song.
Eno Barony entered the beef with “Rap goddess” a diss reply to Freda Rhymz.
Sista Afia with a rap song dissed Freda Rhymz again and Eno Barony, titled “You Got Nerves“.
Eno Barony again came through with “Argument Done“ a diss to Sista Afia and made accusations that Medikal has been writing verses for her.
Freda Rhymz not giving up came with “Point of Correction“, a diss to Eno Barony for claiming to be the queen of rap, Sista Afia also wasn’t left out in the song.
Medikal from nowhere came with a song titled “Nonsense” to defend his wife and throwing indirect shots at Sister Derby, DKB and other female celebrities.
After Medikal announced his Nonsense track, Eno Barony also came through with a song featuring Strongman Burner and Sister Derby titled “Force Dem to play Nonsense“, a direct reply to Medikal’s Nonsense song.
Sista Afia and Freda Rhymz took the beef to a different dimension when to two female musicians almost exchanged blows at the premises of TV3.
Sista Afia has severely threaten to beat Freda Rhymz wherever she meets her.
As it stands today, the beef is now intense between Sista Afia and Freda Rhymz.
