COVID-19 update: 8 affected persons in Ghana allegedly recover

Information reaching Vibeweek.com indicates that 8 persons who were reportedly infected with the coronavirus have recovered.

According to statistics on an excel sheet compiled by the worldometers.info 8 persons have recovered in Ghana.

Vibeweek.com, however, cannot independently confirm this as the appropriate quarters for the dissemination of information in Ghana with regard to the pandemic has not officially made it public.

The Ghana Health Service earlier revealed that all patients who tested positive for the coronavirus were getting better.

The Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Patrick Kuma-Aboagye said the patients would soon be discharged once they are fine.

Speaking on CitiTV’s Eyewitness news, Dr Kuma-Aboagye said none of the patients had a deteriorated condition since they were isolated.

Aside this assurance by the GHS, Ghana has confirmed five new cases of the deadly coronavirus also known as COVID-19.

All five cases have been reported in the Greater Accra Region with no deaths so far.

In a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on the official Twitter handle of the Ministry of Information in Ghana, the five patients who tested positive have ranged between the ages of 29 and 53.

The 16 cases are all to be treated in isolated conditions as contact tracing continues to find all people who have been in contact with them within the past days.
