COVID-19: 3 suspected victims quarantined in Ashanti region

Information reaching YEN.com.gh indicates that three persons suspected to have contracted the coronavirus have been quarantined in the Ashanti region.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), Dr Oheneba Owusu Danso, samples have been taken from the suspected persons for testing at the designated labs.

He made this known at a press conference organised by the regional health directorate in Kumasi, today, Monday, March 23, 2020.

Out of the number recorded, four of the cases are from the Ashanti region. In order to stay safe and free of the coronavirus, Dr Danso urged Ghanaians to wash their hands regularly and adhere to social distancing and other precautionary measures.

He also encouraged the consumption of more fruits and vegetables in order to build immune systems to withstand diseases.
