Twenty-two persons have found themselves in the grips of Akatsi South Police Command in Volta Region for attempting to cross over from Ghana to Togo.
On Tuesday around 11:00pm, the 22 persons were spotted by the security taskforce in the district with unregistered motorbikes.
According to the DCE of the area, Dr. Prince Sedoke Amuzu, the 22 persons made up of 17 males were coming from Akatsi South District. They were suspected to be Nationals of Togo because they were having Togolese national identity cards on them.
They were thus detained and have since Wednesday dawn been transported to the Akatsi South Police Command for screening and the necessary action to be taken.
